In 2012 the 36th Annual Monterey Wine Festival will be celebrating another exciting line-up and a plethora of traditional favorites from the past. Drawn by world class wines, gourmet foods and The West Coast Chowder Competition now celebrating it's 3rd year, wine and food lovers will savor and find the best in white wines, chowders and more. Navigating the plaza filled with other gourmet vendors and fine food purveyors as well as the bottled excellence makes for a lovely day of fun.
For the 3rd year....
The West Coast Chowder Competition will join the festival on Saturday and guests will be able to sample and savor the Best of the Best with local restaurants competing for the coveted Copper pot Award and cash prizes. Guests will be able to judge their palates against the judges with the People's Choice Award for chowder.
For the 2nd year! The Bartenders Fedora! Sample the spirits and watch the competition as professional chefs square off to announce a winning cocktail!

Nothing tastes as great as exceptional seafood and a fantastic pinot gris or beautiful white wine. You'll be able to taste the seas - chowder that is, which have won awards from across the country and beyond. Chefs will showcase their award winning chowders to be judged.

Our panel of judges will choose their pick and you'll be able to try them too or order a larger portion to enjoy.
